Sky Diving Challenge

CONGRATULATIONS
Huge congratulations and thanks to our five very brave supporters that took the Skydive Challenge for Happy Staffie Rescue. The team had a great day and all completed the jump with great sucess.

On Sunday 22nd August the team of supporters took fund raising to new heights as they carried out a tandem sky dive for us.

Supporters Lianne Burgess, Stefan Hall, Karen Hopkins, Sandra Dunn and our very own Operations Manager Mark Hannaford took the plunge to try and raise over £1,500 for the rescue.

The jump took place in Oxfordshire and the team were
securely attached to an experienced tandem instructor with a 4-point harness system before boarding the aircraft. The aircraft then climbed to 12,000 feet where they exited and begin to freefall.

They reached speeds of approximately 120 miles per hour and free fell until they reach around 5 000 feet. The tandem instructor then deployed the main parachute and they began to descent under canopy.

This jump lasted about 6 minutes as they fly towards their landing area and the safety of solid ground.

You can still show your support to our jumping team by making an online donation today. To donate just click on the name you want to support below or support the whole team. Your nominated supporter will receive an update of your donation.
